Once we all agree the mold design is the ultimate solution, the mold construction starts. At Magor, each component is process-planned for every required operation internally and externally, so we know what the time and place will be for completion. Our molds are made to exact tolerances, guaranteed to be interchangeable, no matter if it's the first mold of its kind or the fifth. The molding stacks are made at Magor. Other key components, such as the mold bases and hot runner components, are made by trusted vendors. We record the finished dimensions for molding stack components as they are machined so we have a record of what size the steel is. If after we sample the mold there is a question regarding part dimensions, we will correlate the steel inspection data to the plastic inspection data and confirm whether it's the steel or the molding process and make an adjustment.

Magor's Service and Repair Group services molds Magor has built or molds you have acquired from other vendors. They produce spare parts, refurbish and modify existing tooling, and repair damage to get your mold back to production readiness.
